Grown on the clay loams of the upper Waipara Valley floor, this Pinot Rosé was harvested early in the vintage, in perfect condition. The long autumn of warm days and cool nights allowed for the development of ripe flavours while retaining a crisp freshness.The hand-picked Pinot Noir fruit was crushed, then the juice allowed to rest on the skins for 12 hours before pressing. The juice was settled, racked, and a cool fermentation in stainless steel followed. This produces a full flavoured wine with fresh aromas of ripe wild cherries with hints of honeysuckle and vanilla. These flavours continue into the palate forming an off dry wine with a pleasant balance between sweetness and fruity acidity.

Food MatchRosé is delicious now with a wide range of fresh salads, chicken and fresh light foods, including the fresh vibrant flavours of South East Asian cuisine. This is also great as a refreshing pre-dinner drink. The Pinot Rosé is best served well-chilled.
