Grown on the clay loams of the upper Waipara Valley floor, this Pinot Rosé was harvested early in the vintage, in perfect condition. The long autumn of warm days and cool nights allowed for the development of ripe flavours while retaining a crisp freshness. The hand-picked Pinot Noir fruit was crushed, then the juice allowed to rest on the skins for 12 hours before pressing. The juice was settled, racked, and a cool fermentation in stainless steel followed. This produces a full flavoured wine with fresh aromas of ripe wild cherries with hints of honeysuckle and vanilla.
